Founder and Managing Partner, Monish Jain completed his five year integrated law course in the year 2010 from the prominent legal institution ILS Law College, Pune and then went on to complete his Masters Degree. Before establishing MJ & Partners, Monish Jain has worked for a brief period an associate advocate in the law offices of Karnik & Karnik Advocates and J. S. Wad & Co., Pune.
In addition to the Masters Degree in Law, Monish Jain holds a Diploma in Business Laws, Diploma in Corporate Laws and Diploma in National Security & Geo-politics. During his Course in ILS Law College, Monish Jain has also worked with high profile Solicitor firms in Bombay and Delhi such as Luthra and Luthra Law Attorney, Hemant Sahai Associates, Khaitan and Jayakar, Corporate Law Group, Lex Orbis, Hariani & Co etc., where he contributed in various major transactions and proceedings in various High Courts and Supreme Court.
Monish Jain has immense trial experience and was asked to depose before the Federal Court of Australia as an expert on civil law and procedure. He has a keen interest in teaching and was a visiting faculty in DES Law College, Pune and thoroughly enjoyed teaching subjects like property law, Civil Procedure and Code and drafting of pleadings.
Monish Jain has worked in high profile civil litigation and criminal prosecutions involving huge stakes. Monish Jain has developed a niche in economic offences and has been assisting the companies and prosecution agencies in forensic evidence collection and preservation. He has also advised various listed companies and corporate houses on the aspects of civil and criminal law. He is also an expert on land related matters and have been advising real estate and industrial organizations on the aspect of land acquisition and title verification.

Working since 2016 towards commercial dispute resolution and on means to mitigate the risk of litigation in connection with significant corporate and commercial transactions through drafting, negotiating, and finalizing relevant transaction documents. Gaurav regularly appears before the Hon’ble Bombay High court, District courts, Tribunals, and other adjudicatory authorities. Gaurav has also represented and defended his clients in white collar crimes and economic offences. Gaurav has successfully initiated insolvency proceedings against the financially defaulting companies by way of The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. This Code provides for the procedure for insolvency resolution process, in case of a defaulting corporate debtor.
